Introductory Neurofeedback Training

Neurofeedback Training with Dr. Moshe Perl (BCIA certified)

Get the basics of neurofeedback in an approachable, easy to follow format designed to jump-start your neurofeedback journey.

Dr Perl has teamed up with EEGer to create a new mode of teaching neurofeedback for clinicians:

  1. On-demand didactic video lectures for the theory.
  2. Live practicums for the hands-on component.
  3. Mentoring to help you integrate neurofeedback into your practice.

Part 1:  Build Strong Foundations: Video lectures introduce you to the amazing field of neurofeedback.  A 10-chapter self-paced lecture series covering: the core principles of neurofeedback; foundational models; clinical applications; and practical skills, giving credit towards the BCIA 36-hour blueprint of knowledge.

Part 2:  PracticumApply Your Skills with Clinical Support: You’ll deepen your understanding of neurofeedback with several weeks of included orientation practicum sessions. You’ll experience first hand how clinical session are run and observe other trainees as they are being trained.

Part 3: A Pathway for Success: Mentoring follow-up.  Get ongoing support as you begin integrating neurofeedback into your practice. Access mentorship, hear clinical cases, ask clinical questions, and strengthen your therapeutic skills while building a pathway to success.

All parts together satisfy BCIA’s 36-hour Blueprint of Knowledge.

This training is delivered in two parts – 1. the self-paced didactic and 2. the live cohort sessions. For new practitioners, we recommend both.

1. Self-paced Didactic Starter

Begin the 15-hour, 10-chapter self-paced lecture series from Dr. Moshe Perl. Based on the BCIA blueprint for neurofeedback providers, these lectures are essential for learning the clinical application of neurofeedback.

This is a great way to get started if you’re unable to join our next cohort. You can complete the lectures & quizzes at your own pace ahead of joining a future cohort.

The didactic is administered by EEGer / EEG Learn. The purchase price is in US dollars (USD) and payment will be through EEGer / EEG Learn’s website.

2. Practicum and group mentoring

This part includes:

  1. Technical orientation – a 1-hour session (conducted live over Zoom);
  2. Hands-on practicum – four 3.5-hour group sessions (conducted live over Zoom);
  3. Group mentoring – four 1.5-hour sessions after the practicum (conducted live over Zoom);
  4. Equipment access (either purchased, rented or loaned for the duration of the training).

This is for practitioners who have already completed our online didactic lecture series or an equivalent course. In order to qualify, you must provide evidence of completion for such a course.

This is a good option for those wanting a refresher or to learn how to use EEGer neurofeedback equipment.

Full Training – our recommendation for new practitioners

For those new to the field, we recommend purchasing both parts (1 & 2) listed above. Together they are equivalent to our 4-day “Neurofeedback in a Clinical Practice” course and satisfies BCIA’s 36 hour didactic Blueprint of Knowledge required for BCIA Certification for Neurofeedback.
